Bruce Power has been presented with the 2021 Workplace Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champion award by Electricity Human Resources Canada.
The award is given to an employer in Canada’s electricity sector during their annual awards that recognize the outstanding achievements of those at the forefront of the industry’s HR best practices and leadership.
The company says they have focused on gender diversity through increasing the percentage of women across the organization, partnering with Ontario Tech University with a commitment to hire women from their engineering program annual and partnering with non-profits to encourage young women in the trades.
