A small group gathered outside the Kincardine library to raise the Pride flag.
This is to mark the start of Pride Month in Canada.
The ceremony this morning featured a new flag.
Organizer of Kincardine Pride Fort Papalia says it is to represent a much broader and inclusive community.
Papalia says there is a sense of an increase in community support for Pride activities.
He says no longer is Kincardine Pride organizing everything Pride-related, the community is starting to take ownership of it.
