June is not only Pride Month, but also Indigenous History Month.
Kincardine and Saugeen Shores are both recognizing the occasion by holding events in their respective communities.
The Municipality of Kincardine will be raising the Every Child Matters flag on June 21st which is National Indigenous Peoples Day.
There will also be two new workshops aimed at providing truthful education about Indigenous History.

The Town of Saugeen Shores are offering resources to allow residents to recognize the importance of Indigenous People, the culture that gave the area its name, and their longstanding presence and history.
