The Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh issued a precautionary boil water notice for residents on the Huron Sands water system.
The notice was sent out Sunday morning after an unexpected power outage. It will remain in place until samples taken have been cleared by the Health Unit.
Residents are encouraged to bring water to a rolling boil before drinking, washing produce or making things like ice and baby formula.
