Saugeen Shores police are looking for who was responsible for a local taxi going on a joyride about town over the weekend.
On Sept. 24, police received a report that a cab was stolen from a residential address in Port Elgin sometime between 2 and 9 a.m.
Around noon on that same day, officers observed the vehicle operating northbound from Southampton. A high-risk traffic stop was attempted but unsuccessful.
At 6:30 p.m. the vehicle was located unoccupied outside of Saugeen Shores.
This investigation is continuing.
