Juno Award winning artist Crystal Shawanda will be doing several performances for area students next week, as part of the Blues in the Schools program.
Organized by the The Bruce County Blues Society, the program brings professional musicians to local schools at no cost.
Shawanda will perform at G.C. Houston and Port Elgin Saugeen Central on Monday, and Huron Heights and St. Anthony’s on Tuesday.
Shawanda says the performance offers a lesson in history and culture as well as music.
A special evening performance is offered at The Bruce on Monday. Admission is by donation. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
