Suspect arrested after Kincardine Airport damaged

A Toronto resident was charged with breaking and entering into the Kincardine Airport over the weekend, causing damage police say was in excess of $100,000.

South Bruce OPP received a call to the property around 10 a.m. on Sunday, after a witness located the suspect inside the airport terminal building.

Police arrived and arrested the suspect, noting there was damage to the aviation electronics as well as the ceiling and north side entrance door.

The 22-year-old was charged with breaking and entering and mischief over $5,000. They were transported to the Walkerton detachment and held for a bail hearing.
