Bruce County Museum set to “Archives Awareness Week” event Apr. 5th

The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre is holding an upcoming talk on Chinese & Metis heritage in recognition of Archives Awareness Week April 3rd to 8th.

The special event will feature two speakers: Jenna McGuire, Executive Director of Historic Saugeen Metis, and May Ip, Founder of the Grey Bruce Chinese Heritage and Culture Association.

The talk will take place on Wednesday, April 5th at 2pm in the Museum’s Bruce Power theatre.

The talk is entitled “Hidden History: Searching for Diversity in the Archives” and it is set to highlight how archival research through the Bruce County Museum and other archives has shed light on aspects of the cultural diversity found in Bruce County.

During Archives Awareness Week, from April 3rd to 8th, enjoy free admission to the Archives & Research Room. The facility will be closed on Good Friday on the 7th.
