Hanover Police charge 55-year-old male after Incident Involving Gun Friday Night

They found he had pointed a rifle at his neighbour & others while threatening them with death and bodily harm after an argument over parking of vehicles.

Hanover Police have charged a 55-year-old male after an incident of threats with a firearm late Friday night.

Police were called to a residence in the 600 block of 10th avenue around 11:40 pm on reports of a neighbor dispute.

Officers found the male suspect had pointed a rifle at his neighbour and others while threatening them with death and bodily harm after an argument over parking of vehicles.

The area was contained with the assistance of the West Grey and OPP.

After interacting with police the suspect exited his residence and surrendered to Police without further incident.

He has been charged with 7 offences included using a firearm while committing and offence, uttering threats, possession and careless use of a firearm. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
