Huron Residential Hospice to receive additional $280,000 in Funding Annually

Increase in provincial funding is to begin this year as well as $75,000 per year in support of local grief & bereavement services.

The Huron Residential Hospice offered their thanks to Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson recently when she dropped by to announce additional funding for the facility.

The Hospice says that the additional $280,000 will be receive annually and will begin this year.

The funding, in combination with donations from individuals, families, service clubs and businesses, will allow them to provide compassionate end-of-life care without as much worry about their budget.

MPP Thompson also advised of $10 million in new funding to support grief & bereavement services at hospices across the Province.

This will mean about $75,000 in new funding to support those programs locally in Clinton.
