Huron-Kinloss’ landfill has been given a massive boost with the acquisition of state of the art compacter.
The addition to their equipment fleet will see improvements to compaction performance, ensuring the township makes the most of available air space at the Huron Landfill.
The acquisition was made possible thanks to the support from the Near-Term Investment fund provided by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization
John Yungblut, Director of Public Works says they have faced a series of challenges over the years with compaction performance, increased repair costs and the constant breakdown due to wear and tear of existing equipment and the new compacter will help manage this much easier.
The Caterpillar 816K Landfill Compactor is known for its exceptional durability, efficient compaction capabilities and operator comfort.
