The South Bruce Grey Health Centre is taking action to address the need for health care needs in the community and provide better service during a time urgent and emergent care needs.

As of June 3rd, 10 inpatient beds will be relocated to hospitals in Kincardine and Walkerton from Durham to provide patients in need of care with more consistent, safe and high quality care.

Nursing staff will continue to work on site for urgent care daily from 7am-5pm.

Nancy Shaw, CEO and President of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre says this decision has been made with the community patients they serve while not impacting any jobs.

The health centre also has plans to hold community engagement sessions to have a discussion on strategies to stablize all four sites and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care.
