Goderich Mayor Trevor Bazinet highlighted being an inclusive community, showing his support for council and staff, more youth engagement more during the Mayor’s Luncheon.
Held on Thursday at the Beach Street Station. Bazinet says in terms of the downtown redevelopment he’s hoping the grand scheme of things there will be something to last for years to come.
“Obviously we want to be fiscally responsible but like I said, this is our community hub. Everyone goes to our downtown at some point during the summer, whether its for the farmers market, a concert, enjoy an outdoor patio or shopping. What we can do here is create something everyone can enjoy for the next 60-80 years.” Bazinet
Bazinet added he’s been blown away by the ideas and opinions shared by youth on a variety of topics in town.
