Last Friday’s Cruise Night in Kincardine was one for the record books.

This comes as the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation was able to raise $75,000 for the night to support ongoing projects and renovations the hospital.

The number was made possible with $25,000 being raised from the community which was the matched by volunteers with the hospital foundation but it was another $25,000 by John Satosek and his wife Diane from Kincardine Canadian Tire which boosted the total.

Satosek says personally he’s hoping with enough support for the hospital they can revive the Maternity Ward

“It would be nice for those young families can actually have their children in their own town instead of going to Walkerton or Owen Sound. I know that’s not part of the initial phase of the hospital renovations but if we all work towards it, it can become a reality again” said Satosek.

The next Cruise Night in Kincardine is set for August 30th.
