ACW Employee Nearly Shot After Careless Hunting Case

The Ministry of Natural Resources has fined a St. Helens man $3000 and been suspended from having a hunting license for one year who plead guilty to careless hunting.

The Ministry says an Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh man was almost struck by a bullet on June 5th.

Investigation by OPP finding a man shot a .22 calibre rifle at a squirrel in his yard which missed the employee and hit a township building.

The case was heard in Goderich court on August 1st.
