Weight limits now in effect on the Durham Street Bridge in Walkerton.
With construction continuing on the bridge, commercial trucks are being asked to use alternative truck routes.
The weight restriction is marked as a 3 level load limit which limits 15 tonnes for single unit trucks typically with two axles, 25 tonnes for larger trucks or tractor trailer with more axles and 30 tonnes for multi axle combinations or full tractor trailer units.
Alternative truck routes are in place to allow for the continued movement of truck traffic until the repairs are made to the bridge.
