Key Ceremony and Blessing Marks New Home with Habitat for Humanity

A local family is getting the dream of home ownership fulfilled with the help of Habitat for Humanity Huron County.

To help celebrate this dream a key ceremony and house blessing was held on Sunday in Goderich, acting as a way to celebrate the community.

Rob Evans, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity for Huron County says its always very special for them when they get a build done a new family moved in.

“Moving in is something special for us, it marks that turning of the page. We’re helping someone getting from renting to owning and that’s one of the biggest opportunities for Habitat for Humanity when someone gets their new home.” said Evans.

The ceremony took place on Sunday at 158 Anglesea Street.
