The minimum wage in Ontario will jump up tomorrow to $17.60 per hour.
This annualized wage increase of 2.4 per cent is based on the Ontario Consumer Price Index and will increase from the current $17.20 per hour currently.
A worker making minimum wage and working 40 hours per week will see an annual pay increase of more than $800.
Ontario’s minimum wage increases annually based on the Ontario CPI which is a measure of inflation which represents changes in prices experienced by Ontario consumers.
