The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority says they are closely following Ontario’s proposed changes affecting watershed management and conservation authorities.

These changes include a provincial plan for a new Ontario Provincial Conservation Agency.

The Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks announced on October 31st that Ontario plans to create a new conservation authority agency to improve service delivery and protect communities.

The ABCA says they are working with Conservation Ontario which represents Ontario’s conservation authorities in the coming weeks to provide input into the proposed changes.
