Police Respond to Down Wires, Crusier Nearly Struck

A 31 year old man is facing charges after he nearly struck a police cruiser.

On March 15th police responded to a call involving downed wires on Highway 21 in Kincardine at around 11pm.

While officers had traffic blocked, a cruiser with its emergency lights activated was almost hit by a vehicle.

During a traffic stop police noticed signs of impairment with the man being arrested.

The 31 year old of Arran-Elderslie has been charged with Operation While Impaired and Dangerous Operation.

The accused will appear in court next month.
