It was a packed day in Kincardine for the second annual Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board Robotics challenge.
The event brought young programmers and engineers to design, build and code robots using LEGO elements and motorized parts.
Teams were given 2.5 minutes being tasked with completing complex maneuvers and challenges, using math and science concepts in a fast paced, competitive environment.
Nicole Batte, Educational Technology Consultant for the School Board says watching students bridge the gap between classroom theory and hands of application is truly inspiring adding by working with high school mentors, students are seeing firsthand where their passion for STEM can take them in the future.
