The Minto 81’s will be still be playing in the postseason.
Following an appeal by the 81’s after the OEHL forced the 81’s to forfeit game 6 against the Ripley Wolves for an alleged player eligibility issue, this turned to the Ontario Hockey Association to review the matter.
The OHA has proposed two options to the league which includes to replay game 6 with Minto using goalies on their Hockey Canada Registry or to move on and play game 7 if necessary with Minto using gaolies on their HCR.
The decision on how to proceed remains with the OEHL.
Should game 6 be replayed, it will sit with the Ripley Wolves holding a 3-2 series lead.
