The Avon Maitland District School Board and Conestoga College have completed the first set of Electrical for Women Dual Credit Course.

The program provides women in AMDSB high schools to learn more and explore Residential and Industrial Electrical Studies.

Over the course students learned vital skills such as safety protocols, electrical theory and practical project work while gaining experience in commercial, industrial, residential and institutional sectors with a focus on small scale electrical tasks.

AMDSB and Conestoga College say they remain committed to continuing the partnership and offer more opportunities for young women to explore careers in skilled trades.
