The Avon Maitland District School Board is looking for partners for before and after school programs across Huron County.
This is mainly due to various schools such as Northwoods Elementary, Brookside, Hullet and Huron Centennial lacking childcare providers.
AMDSB is encouraging community organizations or individuals to become licensed through Huron County and offer such programs at these schools for students.
Superintendent of Corporate Services Cheri Carter says the annual surveys have revealed a shortage of spots causing waitlists and families are looking at alternatives.
