Every June more than 40,000 ham radio operators across North America setup up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham’s radio science, skill and service to their communities and the world as part of the ARRL Field Day.
There is a local Inverhuron Ham Radio Club set to take part in the showcase operated by Rob Noakes of Tiverton.
The event will be held on June 25th and 26th this year and will see Rob operate his ham radio at the Emergency Operations Centre in Kincardine.
The demonstration will be on site from Saturday the 25th at 2pm until 2pm on Sunday.
