Applications for Huron’s Supportling Local Economic Development Program Now Open

Types of projects eligible include workplace re-engagement, attraction & retention, business district & sector-specific and placemaking, community and tourism development initiatives.

The Huron County Economic Development Department announced today that the application period for the Supporting Local Economic Development Program opened today.

The program provides an opportunity for municipalities and registered non-profits to receive funds for projects that address the strategic priorities from Huron County Economic Development’s 2021/22 Business Retention and Expansion Project.

The types of projects eligible include workplace re-engagement, attraction & retention, business district & sector-specific support programs and placemaking, community and tourism development initiatives.

Successful projects will be provided with up to $10,000 through the SLED fund. The deadline to submit an application is May 31st at 4:30pm.

Applications will be assessed on a merit basis and evaluated by a panel of local economic development professionals.
