The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie is remembering longtime municipal leader and former Bruce County Warden, Ross Herron who has passed away.
Herron served 29 years on Arran Township council, including 10 years as Reeve who continued to serve for 7 tears as the Arran Ward representative following amalgamation.
Herron was elected Warden for Bruce County in 1987.
The municipality in a statement says Mr. Herron as known for his unwavering commitment to public service, his thoughtful leadership and deep care for the people.
Flags at municipal buildings are lowered in his honour.
