A man wielding an axe has been arrested following a break and enter.
On May 2nd just after 10am Hanover Police responded to a break and enter in progress at an apartment in the 600 block of 8th Avenue.
Police arrived to find a man at the scene where was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was seen with an axe and was seized by officers.
Investigation found the 24 year old man kicked in thee door armed with an axe with the female victim locking herself and her toddler in the bathroom.
The 24 year old Hanover man has been charged with Break and Enter with Intent and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
The man was remanded into custody.
