The Bayfield Area Food Bank in its efforts for renovations for their new home at the community centre have received support from the Lions.
The Bayfield Lions Club has donated $30,000 to the food bank as part of a matching initiative which has now brought the fundraising to halfway of their $135,000 goal.
These funds will help support a new space which currently is a garage and turn it into a safe, functional and food safe facility for the food bank.
Lions President, Ian Matthew says while they do not have a building of their own anymore, its the spirit of giving and community leadership which remains as strong as ever.
Should all stay on track the food bank hopes to be moved in by this September.
