The Bayfield Lions Club & Bayfield Historical Society launched the fundraising camping for the Penhale Carriage Barn Raiser.
It is a fundraiser aimed at honouring the significance of Tom Penhale’s Horse-Draw Wagons & Carriages to the village.
It is aiming to construct a reproduction of a Bayfield two-cow barn, which will serve as a permanent home for an original Penhale Landau carriage, which was constructed by the Bayfield Wagon & Carriage Works.
They were responsible for creating carriages for the Walt Disney World Company.
The campaign has received word an anonymous donor will match donations received through July 1st to a total of $15,000.
Donations are being accepted online to bayfieldcarriage.ca.

The Bayfield Lions Club are covering all of the fundraising costs to ensure every dollar donated goes toward the acquisition of the Carriage and construction of the barn.
