A bear sighting in the Point Clark area has the Township of Huron-Kinloss reminding residents and visitors to be mindful.
Bear sightings have increased since they’ve emerged from hibernation and the township is offering tips to remember to keep yourself and your property safe.
These include to wear bright coloured clothing when you’re outside and to remove anything which might attract a bear to your property like grease or food on bbq’s, bird feeders, outdoor fridges and garbage left outside.
Bear will often return to food sources they’ve identified as an easy meal.
