The Municipality of Bluewater celebrated the re-opening of Bayfield’s Main Street last weekend.
The event saw lots of residents and visitors attend. Bluewater thanks everyone who helped make it possible.
The project itself was nearly a decade in the making and was funding with assistance from both the provincial and federal government.
The revitalized downtown includes paved sidewalks that are meant to retain the character of the previous dirt pathways thanks to the pavement being tinted, and the fact that hydro wires on the Main Street are buried to preserve the natural feel of the area.
Local dignitaries on-hand include MPP for Huron-Bruce Lisa Thompson, along with members of Bluewater Council and more.
