The Downtown Dig in Kincardine has delved deep below the surface of Queen Street this week.

Darren Alexander, Senior Engineer at BM Ross who are handling Project Management on the project gives an update on how things are going.

“Currently they are working on the mainline sanitary sewer. That will continue for a few days this week. Then hopefully they might be starting on the water main toward the end of this week.”

Next week workers will continue water main installation, as well as sanitary services on the east side of the street.

Near the end of May a second crew is set to show up to work alongside the current crew.

Full details on the scope of the Downtown Dig project are available from the Municipality of Kincardine website.
