To kickoff another year of the Teeswater Fair, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada is holding a breakfast at the Teeswater Town Hall.

Dubbed “Breakfast with the Regulators” the complimentary breakfast will also include a discussion with staff regarding the NWMO project which should South Bruce be the host, these organizations will be key to ensure safety for residents and the environment.

South Bruce Mayor Mark Goetz says with the referendum vote coming in October, there will be officials at the fair all weekend to answer any questions from the public.

“The CNSC and the IAAC will be around this weekend to answer questions along with the Nuclear Waste Management Organization will also be setup at the fair. You’ll have the opportunity all weekend to talk with these individuals” said Goetz.

The breakfast at the Teeswater Town Hall goes from 7am-10am with residents encouraged to learn, ask questions and fuel up for the day.

Presentations will be done at 7:30am and 9am.
