Brockton Mayor Recognized for 25 Years of Council Service

Brockton Mayor Chris Peabody has been honoured for his long standing service on council.

Peabody was presented with the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing’s Long Standing Service Award for his 25 years on Brockton council.

Peabody was first elected in 2000, serving five consecutive terms as councilor before being elected as Mayor in 2018 who also was Warden of Bruce County from 2023-24.

A former educator, Peabody has helped expand local high school co-op programs and been a strong advocate for local training opportunities in skilled trades.
