Bruce County Council adopts resolution to Support National Day of Truth & Reconciliation

County will fly Every Child Matters flag all month in show of support

Bruce Council adopted a resolution at their council meeting today to support reconciliation, issue an acknowledgement and collaborate for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The Municipality has committed to recognizing Thursday, September 30th as the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation also known as National Orange Shirt Day.

It is expected to be a day of sharing stories of residential school survivors, their families and communities.

Bruce County will also fly the Every Child Matters flag at prominent County locations through the month and lower hem to half mast on September 30th.
