Bruce County has put together a 10 year housing target to meet future housing needs.
This took another step during January 8th’s council meeting of setting 10 year targets to guide the county and municipalities as they continue to develop programs aimed at increasing housing supply and improve affordability.
A report prepared by SHS Inc identified a County wide target of 4040 new housing units needed to meet the diverse needs of residents.
Warden Luke Charbonneau says the housing targets give them the chance to plan ahead not just for today but for the families who will call Bruce County home tomorrow.
