Bruce County extends MOU for Municipal Innovation Council for 3-years until end of 2025

Council is collaboration between 8 municipalities that make up County in efforts to find savings, efficiencies and deliver better services.

Bruce County Council at their meeting this morning updated their Memorandum of Understanding as it relates to the Municipal Innovation Council.

In the decision the agreement between the 8 municipalities in efforts to find savings, efficiencies and deliver better services was extended for 3 years until end of year 2025.

The extension brings with it a price tag of $50,000 per year for the 3 years.

The areas of focus for the Municipal Innovation Council are construction and infrastructure, municipal sustainability, information technology & digital enhancements and livable communities.

Some of the projects undertaken in the first 3 years of the council were the smart beach, mapping our future, waste management and it services reviews and attainable housing support.
