It might not be the best time of the year to be facing a shortage of winter maintenance staff but Bruce County is facing such an issue and is looking to address it.
Recruiters have faced increased difficulties in hiring seasonal staff, mainly due to issues brought o from the COVID-19 pandemic.
A report brought to council says while despite the shortage, its projected the county will still be able to maintain the roads to good levels for the season.
The county maintains the authority to issue a Significant Weather Event which informs the public of delayed response times which will continue to urge motorists to drive with caution while on the roads this winter.
