Residents of Bruce County could be seeing a 4.8 percent hike in their municipal tax bill.
The Corporate Service Committee recently approved the 2022 draft budget.
Warden Janice Jackson says the rate hike is due to a number of capital projects being planned for next year like infrastructure.
Jackson says the increase is not connected to the ongoing pandemic though the County has lifted their State of Emergency.
She says Council is also considering raising the development charges with the revenue going towards more affordable housing.
The budget will go before Council on Thursday where it is expected to receive final passage.
