Bruce County issues an advisory to residents on the upcoming rifle season for deer hunters.

The season runs from Monday, November 1st to Saturday, November 6th.

Hunters and recreation users they say should take steps to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience hunting.

Bruce County says anyone using County forests must ensure they are visible and must be aware of others nearby.

They say you should avoid using trails from dawn to dusk, wear hunter orange on as much clothing as possible even putting it on any pets present and keep pets on a leash.

Hunters are asked to avoid hunting along trails in areas with active trail use, be aware they may be sharing the forest with other hunters or trail users and never shoot unless they are absolutely sure their target and what is beyond it.
