Bruce County council has been looking over the 2026 capital and operating budget and at least for now is looking at a near 6 per cent levy increase.
The draft of the 2026 budget has a focus on many strategic initiatives such as implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning software for the modernization of county processes and resource management, working with 2026 International Plowing Match committee, have more long term care support for staff and resident care improvements.
The draft budget has a 5.97 per cent levy increase with council looking to keep discussing, review and go forward with hopes to adopt the budget by December.
