A Bruce County man is facing charges in connection to a break-in at a home and theft of a vehicle in Southampton.
Saugeen Shores Police went to an address early Sunday morning (2nd) around 5:30 and discovered someone broke into the home and demanded car keys from the lone occupant.
The stolen vehicle was spotted by Cancom Security heading south towards Port Elgin.
Police were able to locate the stolen vehicle and investigators say the accused brandished a knife towards the officer before being placed under arrest.
The officer was able to gain control with the help of Cancom Security until more units arrived.
The 27-year-old remains in custody until his next court appearance.
