Bruce County has marked the first anniversary of the Energy Transition Initiative.
The program is partially funded by the province which over the last year has seen support for businesses as they explore and take on cleaner, lower carbon energy solutions.
These efforts help strengthen the region’s economy while advancing long term sustainability goals.
Since launching in March last year, the initiative has engaged more than 450 businesses across Bruce County providing access to training, funding information and hands on support to help advance cleaner energy planning.
Heather Hyde, Economic Development Manager says with continued collaboration and provincial support, they are accelerating the adoption of cleaner energy solutions which benefit businesses, communities and the local economy.
