Bruce County Paramedics receive Citations of Bravery For Actions at Kincardine Pier in Fall of 2020

Bruce County shared word recently of two of their own Paramedics being recognized for bravery.

Bruce County Paramedics Jim Ainslie and Justin Boucher received Citations for Bravery from the OPP in a West Region awards ceremony on Wednesday, 22nd in Chatham.

Their efforts were in relation to a rescue effort at the Kincardine Pier in the Fall of 2020.

Paramedic Services Chief Steve Schaus says the two performed extraordinary actions by joining the human chain that entered rough waters to make a rescue attempt of individuals swept into the lake by treacherous waves.

He adds they are thankful o have paramedics like them serving our community and it’s a true honour for them to be recognized.
