As winter has arrived in Bruce County, the public is being reminded to be prepared for winter storms by having an emergency kit with them in their home and vehicle.
\Motorists kits should be complete with the essentials to stay comfortable and safe if stranded. These items would include a blanket and warm clothing, snacks and water, a flashlight with extra batteries and a cell phone charger.
Ray Lux, Bruce County’s Emergency Management Coordinator says first responders might face delays due to high call volumes or severe conditions adding preparation doesn’t stop at home, its just as important when you’re on the road.
