Bruce County Reminding Public on Having Emergency Kits

With winter weather arriving, Bruce County is reminding the public to make sure they are best prepared for the season at home and on the road.

The county is asking residents to make sure they have emergency kits both their home and in their vehicles.

Emergency kits for your vehicle should be equipped with a blanket and warm clothes such as hats, gloves and scarf, snacks and water, a flashlight with extra batteries, a cell phone charger and basic first aid supplies.

Ray Lux, Bruce County’s Emergency Management Coordinator first responders might not always be able to get to you due to call volume or weather conditions and its best to be prepared when you are traveling.
