Bruce County to host household hazardous waste drop off days

The County of Bruce are holding household hazardous waste drop off days.

There will be 13 collection events (all on Saturdays) at 10 locations in 2022.

The first will take place May 7th at the Southampton Works Yard from 8 am to 1 pm.

Attendees must remain in their vehicle with windows closed and with waste materials in their open trunk only for unloading.

You are asked not attend if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

Commercial waste, agricultural waste, industrial waste, PCB’s, ammunitions, and flares will not be accepted.

Only containers with a volume of 30 litres or less will be accepted.

Waste must be received in containers that can be disposed of.

July 23: Eastnor Landfill Site (in Lion’s Head), 8 am to 12 Noon
July 30: South Bruce Peninsula Works Garage (in Wiarton), 8 am to 12 Noon
August 6: St. Edmunds Landfill Site (in Tobermory), 8 am to 12 Noon
August 13: Kincardine Public Works Yard, 8 am to 1 pm
August 20: Bruce County Transportation Garage (in Paisley), 8 am to 1 pm
August 27: Amabel Works Yard, 8 am to 12 Noon
September 24: Bruce County Highways Garage (in Walkerton), 8 am to 1 pm
October 1: Southampton Works Yard, 8 am to 1 pm
