Bruce County is asking residents to make sure they have everything they need in the event of a power outage, especially in times when the power could be out for a prolonged period of time.

Bruce County’s Emergency Management has recommended you have a kit which can help last 72 hours without power.

Items included in a 72 hour kit would be at least 2 litres of water per person a day, a manual can opener, food which won’t spoil like canned food, a crank or battery powered flashlight and radio, a first aid kit and extra key for your vehicle and home.
