Bruce County is warning the public of emails making their rounds appearing to be county officials.
These emails may contain invoices complete with county logos, branding and other details and appear to be legitimate with one incident one person sending payment via e-transfer to an external email address.
The county says they will never request payment by e-transfer nor do they accept it as a form of payment.
Anyone who has doubts of the emails they receive are asked to use the direct contact for the county from their website.
